As
Chairman of the Board of
Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, David
Kenny is responsible for short and long term strategic planning,
establishing policies, selection of personnel, and oversight management,
insuring that the bank serves it's community, customers, shareholders and
employees equally well.
He is a Fort Worth, Texas native
and is a graduate of Paschal High School. He also is a graduate of the
Texas Tech University Advanced School of Banking, the University of Oklahoma
National Commercial Lending School and the Southern Methodist University, Class
of XXVIII, Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
David became a banker shortly after graduating high
school, and gained experience working in all areas of the bank while rapidly
bootstrapping his way through the ranks to become President of an Eighty Four
million dollar community bank in 1986. He has been with RiverBend bank
since it was chartered in 1986, and became its Chairman and CEO in 1993.
David is proud that many of his customers have known and dealt with him throughout
most, if not all of his banking career.
He is presently on the Board of Directors of the
Woodhaven Community Development Corp., is an advisory board member
of the
Eastside YMCA, and is on the Transportation Committee of the Fort Worth Chamber
of Commerce. His civic activities also include the East Fort Worth
Business Association of which he has previously been both an officer and
Director.
An avid hunter
and fisherman, David and his wife Linda
also enjoy horseback riding, tending to the livestock, and gardening on the
family farm in Mansfield where they reside, and which has been in the Kenny
family for over 80 years.
